About Smoothie King

For Smoothie King founder, Steve Kuhnau, a small-time job as a soda jerker during his teen years would provide the inspiration that he needed to start this global enterprise – suffering from lactose-intolerance, the smoothies and floats that Kuhnau dispensed on a daily basis were hard for him to digest. Drawing on this experience in later days, he experimented with fresh fruits, protein drinks, and supplements in order to concoct a healthier drink that wouldn’t lead to midday hypoglycemia.
