About Orange Julius® at Dairy Queen®

In 1926, Julius Freed and his friend Bill Hamlin created a blend of orange juice and a few secret ingredients to produce a frothy citrus drink that was light on the stomach, but heavy on the tastebuds; a concoction which went on to become hugely popular after its introduction to the citizens of Los Angeles.

Orange Julius® was born out of their success, a beverage chain that would soon be purchased by Dairy Queen® in 1987 to become a fully owned subsidiary of the latter’s company.

With the American fast food franchise having branched out into Singapore, the island boasts four outlets that supply the fruity drink in a variety of flavours, their signature Orange Julius® Originals including strawberry banana and orange pineapple among its icy cohorts.
